The former Lackman Library in Lenexa is undergoing a remarkable transformation and is set to become the new company headquarters of Newkirk Novak Construction Partners by the end of the year. This significant move by the Lenexa construction company is set to reshape the local business landscape.

The renovation of the 18,000-square-foot space will primarily focus on the interior, with some minor improvements to the exterior. Company officials expect to complete the move into the renovated space by the end of the year, marking a new chapter in the history of this once-loved library.This extensive renovation will include the creation of a training room, collaborative spaces and conference areas, a break room with an outdoor patio, and an equipped workout gym. These additions are designed to enhance the work environment and promote a sense of community within the company.

Company's Growth and Focus

Newkirk Novak, founded in 2017, has seen remarkable growth with 62 employees. The move from their current 7,500-square-foot address to the renovated library reflects their commitment to community-focused work. Design and History

Multistudio, formerly Gould Evans, designed the library in the 1980s and is now involved in the renovation. The library opened its doors in 1986 and served the community for many years until it closed in 2019 when a new Lenexa branch was opened in the City Center development. It was then sold for $2.05 million to an affiliate of the construction company.The renovation is a testament to the company's dedication to preserving and revitalizing local landmarks.
