Young Achievers Honored at Marco Island Kiwanis Club Celebration

The Kiwanis Club of Marco Island recently celebrated the achievements of five exceptional third-grade students from Manatee Elementary School in a vibrant ceremony on March 6. This event marked the final Terrific Kids breakfast celebration for the year, recognizing these young talents and their remarkable contributions to both academics and community spirit. Joining the honorees were esteemed guests including Lt. Angel Casabona and Sgt. Mark Haueter from the Marco Island Police Department, alongside Debby Eby from Manatee Elementary School and the proud families of the awardees. Each child was honored not only for their academic prowess but also for their unique interests and aspirations.

Ayden Martinez, praised by his teacher Ms. Morales, exemplifies leadership and a passion for learning. Always eager to assist peers during math lessons, Ayden embraces challenges with enthusiasm. Outside the classroom, he enjoys gaming, drawing abstract art, and exploring outdoors with his siblings. His dream superpower? Teleportation, allowing him to explore distant lands, even the moon. Future aspirations include careers as an artist, scientist, or adventurer.

Abel Henderson-Chrisman is described by Ms. Roberts as an exemplary student who thrives on knowledge and kindness. Living near wildlife with hermit crabs as pets, Abel loves riding bikes and playing games. With a preference for super speed, Abel dreams of visiting Paris and reconnecting with old friends. While uncertain about future career paths, technology and math currently spark his interest.

Emily Lancon stands out as a compassionate and diligent student, according to Mrs. Bludworth. Balancing family life with her four-year-old brother Colby, Emily finds joy in outdoor activities. Her wish to fly enables aerial views of the world, particularly New York City's iconic landmarks. An aspiring astronaut, Emily cherishes learning about space in science class.

Aubrey Trevino, noted by Mrs. Sanford, radiates kindness and responsibility. Surrounded by farm animals and cherished pets, Aubrey relishes biking adventures and playful moments with her dog Chaco. Opting for super speed, she aims to manage chores efficiently, dedicating more time to significant tasks. Dreams of visiting Venice inspire culinary delights and gondola rides. Aspiring to become a scientist, Aubrey envisions inventions aiding people and the environment.

Jeremiah Jarvis, admired by Ms. D’Agostino, demonstrates respect and eagerness in learning new skills. A frequent traveler with his family, Jeremiah excels in fishing and football, playing for the Gators team. Choosing super speed empowers him to rescue others and assist his father. Envisioning beautiful Bahamian beaches, Jeremiah aspires to become a professional linebacker for the Buccaneers.
