UToledo Basketball Teams Host Kids Days with Free Admission

Dec 17, 2024 at 2:05 AM
The University of Toledo is set to host an exciting event called Kids Days. This initiative aims to bring joy and entertainment to children by offering free admission for those 12 and under who come dressed as their favorite superhero, princess, or player. It's a unique opportunity for kids to immerse themselves in a world of fun and fantasy.

Special Days for Each Team

The men's team will have their Kids Day on Friday, Jan. 10, while the women's team will hold theirs on Saturday, Dec. 28. These dedicated days are filled with activities that will keep the little ones engaged and entertained throughout.

Kids Zone Fun

The Kids Zone is a highlight of the event, featuring a variety of inflatables, mini-hoops, and classic games like Connect Four, Jenga, and corn hole. Kids can let loose and have a blast in this interactive area, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Draw and Submit Your Favorite Player

The teams are encouraging kids to let their creativity shine by drawing their favorite player's headshot and submitting it to ToledoRockets@utoledo.edu by Dec. 20. These drawings will then be displayed on the video board during gameday, giving the kids a chance to see their art on a big screen. It's a great way to showcase their talent and support their favorite team.

Audition for the Public Address Announcer

Kids are also invited to send audition videos to announce the Rocket's starting lineup as the public address announcer. Whether it's leading the TOL-EDO cheer or playing some music, these audition videos can be sent to the same email address. It's an exciting opportunity for kids to get involved and feel like part of the action. For more information about the University of Toledo's Kids Days and all the exciting activities, click here.
