Adult Flat Kart Racing: A Fun and Challenging Sport
Kirk Livernash and Jim Collins, both in their 60s, showcase the excitement of adult flat kart racing. Kirk won the main event last Saturday but faced tough competition from Alise Garate. Even SNQMA President Allen Haskell joined in, although he had a rough day with mechanical issues. Livernash emphasizes the fun aspect, stating, "It is fun, and I just love it." They have around six adults racing currently, and each race is a blast despite not all racing at the same time.There's a program called Arrive and Drive where adults can try driving a flat kart for just $15. It's a great way for those interested to get a taste of the action.Club Race #3: A Day of Intense Competition
On Nov. 16, SNQMA held Club Race #3 on the new race track at the Old Simplot. In the Red Plate (Rookie) division, Elijah House made his first race and won one heat, taking third in the main. Destry Woods, with a family legacy in dwarf car racing, won the other heat and the main.In the Blue Plate division, Lincoln Garate and Beckham Knight had a closely contested match, with Garate emerging victorious on the final lap.In the Unrestricted division, the Haskell sisters, who have competed in national events, battled it out.
