Huskies Unveil Ambitious 2024-25 Basketball Schedule

St. Cloud State University's men's basketball team has announced an exciting and challenging schedule for the 2024-25 season. The Huskies are set to take on a diverse array of opponents, including 23 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) foes and seven non-conference rivals, in a 30-game campaign that promises to test their mettle and showcase their talents.

Gearing Up for an Electrifying Season

Tip-Off in Texas and Kansas

The Huskies will kick off their season with a trip to the Lone Star State, where they'll face off against Lubbock Christian University and Missouri Western State University in the D2 Tip-Off Event on November 2 and 3. Following this two-day event, the team will head north to Kansas to participate in the KC Crossover Event, where they'll take on Central Missouri and Pittsburg State on November 8 and 9.

Homestand and Road Challenges

After their out-of-state excursions, the Huskies will return to Minnesota for a three-game homestand against Concordia-St. Paul, Upper Iowa, and Northland College, with the home opener against Concordia-St. Paul scheduled for November 14. The team will then hit the road, traveling to Michigan to face off against Michigan Tech on November 23 before kicking off NSIC play with two road games against Minot State and Minnesota Crookston on December 6 and 7.

Battling the Huskies and Mustangs

Returning to Halenbeck Hall, the Huskies will host a trio of NSIC opponents – Minnesota State Moorhead, Northern State, and Mary – on December 13, 14, and 17, respectively. They'll then close out 2024 with a road game against Bemidji State on December 19.

Ringing in the New Year

The Huskies will usher in the new year with a pair of home games against Augustana and Wayne State on January 3 and 4. They'll then embark on a four-game road trip, facing off against Concordia-St. Paul, Minnesota Duluth, Winona State, and reigning NSIC and Division II champion Minnesota State Mankato.

Homestand and Playoff Rematch

St. Cloud State will finish off January with a three-game homestand, starting with a matchup against Sioux Falls on January 24. They'll then host a playoff rematch against Southwest Minnesota State, who eliminated the Huskies in last season's playoffs, on January 25. Bemidji State will round out the homestand on January 28.

Closing Out the Regular Season

The Huskies will embark on another road trip in early February, traveling to Minnesota State Moorhead on February 1 and Mary on February 5. They'll return to Halenbeck Hall for a single game against Minot State on February 8 before heading to Nebraska to take on Wayne State on February 14 and then to South Dakota to face Augustana on February 15. The regular season will conclude with two home games against Minnesota State Mankato on February 21 and Winona State on February 22.

Postseason Pursuit

The NSIC Quarterfinals are scheduled for February 26, with the remaining teams advancing to the NSIC Tournament Championship at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, from March 1 to March 5.
