Holiday Lights Bring Hope to Sheboygan County Food Bank

In the crisp, festive season, leaders of the Sheboygan County Food Bank have extended an urgent appeal to the community. With a substantial gap remaining in their year-end goals, they have partnered with TMJ4’s Mikenzie Hammel, who has a personal connection to Evergreen Park, to spread awareness. The Making Spirits Bright light display at Evergreen Park offers a unique opportunity for visitors to support the food bank's mission. Running from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily until December 31st, this 1.1-mile forested route showcases hundreds of thousands of lights synchronized to music broadcast on 98.1 FM. Admission is free, but attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items or make monetary contributions to aid those facing food insecurity.

From a journalist's perspective, this initiative highlights the importance of community solidarity during challenging times. It underscores how collective efforts can significantly impact the lives of vulnerable individuals. The Making Spirits Bright event not only provides a visually stunning experience but also serves as a reminder of our shared responsibility to support one another, especially during the holiday season.
