With a rich history dating back to 1992, the club has been a fixture at the festival for the past four years, captivating attendees with their impressive display of meticulously maintained and customized vehicles.Robert Sanchez, a member of the club for the past 1.5 years, shared the club's enthusiasm for the upcoming event. "The Mi Vida Car Club has been actively involved in organizing car shows that benefit nonprofit charities throughout Yuma County, Somerton, and across Arizona," he explained. "We're thrilled to be a part of the Somerton Corn Festival and showcase our passion for automotive excellence."The car show, which will run from noon to 5:00 pm, will feature a diverse array of vehicles, from classic cars to modern masterpieces. Participants can pre-register their cars for $30 or bikes for $25, while on-site registration will cost $35 for cars and $30 for bikes. "We started raising funds since we heard that the bond was approved for the high school, and these funds are allocated to sports and extracurricular activities," she explained. "We've been a group since about nine years ago, and hopefully, we'll continue to be able to help the Somerton High School and other organizations in the area."The proceeds from the Somerton Corn Festival will directly benefit Somerton High School and other local organizations, ensuring that the community's educational and extracurricular needs are met.
