Unveiling the 2025 FIA WEC Entry List - A Glimpse into the Racing Future

Hypercar - A Battle of Engineering Titans

The Hypercar segment of the 2025 FIA WEC is set to be a spectacle. Eight major manufacturers have committed to the campaign, each bringing two factory cars as per the new "two-car" rule. Aston Martin THOR Team's pair of LMH-spec Valkyrie AMR-LMHs is a headline addition. These cars will grace the grid with the thrilling sound of their normally aspirated non-hybrid V12 engines. The Valkyrie AMR-LMH is all set to make its global debut in February at Qatar, promising an exciting start to the season. Toyota GAZOO Racing, Porsche Penske Motorsport, Ferrari AF Corse, Peugeot TotalEnergies, BMW Team WRT, and Alpine Endurance Team also have their entries in this high-performance class. Each manufacturer is vying for supremacy, pushing the boundaries of engineering and performance.

AF Corse's decision to retain Kubica for their Ferrari Hypercar is a significant move. It shows their confidence in the driver and the car. Meanwhile, Tincknell and Riberas have signed with Aston Martin's FIA WEC Hypercar program, adding more star power to the category. The competition in Hypercar is fierce, and every team is leaving no stone unturned to secure victory.

LMGT3 - A Stable Field with Some Changes

LMGT3 sees a relatively stable 18-car field assemble again for the 2025 season. Eight of the nine 2024 manufacturers have returned, ensuring a competitive environment. Mercedes-AMG's entry via Iron Lynx's switch at the last minute is a notable development. Porsche, BMW, Ferrari, Lexus, Corvette, Aston Martin, McLaren, and Ford are all back for more, ready to showcase their prowess. However, there have been some team changes. Pure Rxcing will not be defending its crown, and the EMA moniker is gone from the second car. Iron Dames will race with Porsche alongside a 911 LMGT3.R 992 for Manthey 1st Phorm and Ryan Hardwick. Aston Martin's departure of D’Station and the entry of Racing Spirit of Léman bring a new dynamic to the category. The other manufacturers have found stability, with WRT (BMW), Vista AF Corse (Ferrari), AKKODIS ASP (Lexus), TF Sport (Corvette), United Autosports (McLaren), and Proton Competition (Ford) all signed up for another campaign. The teams are gearing up to deliver thrilling races in LMGT3.

The 2025 FIA WEC season is set to kick off with the second running of the Qatar 1812km on Feb. 28. Fans around the world are eagerly awaiting the start of this exciting racing season, where the best of the best will compete for glory on the track.
