At Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, a remarkable transformation is underway with the opening of a brand new lounge. Capital One Landing has made its debut today at DCA, bringing together the culinary expertise of chef José Andrés in a 5,500-square-foot space that offers an extraordinary airport dining experience.

"Reimagine Airport Dining with Capital One Landing"

José Andrés Group's First Airport Venture

This is chef José Andrés' first foray into airport dining, and he's brought his signature touch to Capital One Landing. The menu features an array of Spanish tapas such as pan con tomate, gambas al ajillo (shrimp in garlicky olive oil), and chicken-filled croquetas. Ingredients like olive oil and jamón from Spain are carefully sourced from his trusted purveyors, ensuring the highest quality. Dishes are prepared in a full commercial-quality kitchen on-site, allowing travelers to savor the flavors of his favorite dishes.Just like in his fan-favorite and Michelin-starred restaurants, Andrés has created a culinary haven at Capital One Landing. Travel should be an adventure, and it starts with the food and drink. Here, you'll find not only delicious tapas but also a full-service bar with signature cocktails like Ben Franklin's Milk Punch made with Torres 20 Spanish brandy and the Fino Red Snapper, a sherry-based twist on a Bloody Mary. For quicker service, the Continental Sour is made with rye whiskey and a Spanish Tempranillo red wine floater. And don't forget the dessert - Basque cheesecake, flan, and the delightful tahini soft serve ice cream drizzled with olive oil.

The Mobile Caviar Cart - A Delightful Addition

The same cart that rolls around Andrés' D.C. restaurant The Bazaar will now make appearances in the lounge. Depending on the day and time, it will bring mimosas, gin and tonics with various garnishes, cheesecake with a host of toppings, or caviar and labneh in tiny handheld cones. It's a unique touch that adds to the overall experience. The design of the lounge is equally captivating. With a warm color palette, leather banquettes, and local art, it takes inspiration from José Andrés' restaurants and other Capital One lounges. Every detail has been carefully considered to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for travelers. Power outlets are available at every seat, and there are plenty of luggage nooks and bag hooks for added convenience.

The "On the Fly" Cafe - A Quick Bite Option

Adjacent to the lounge is the "On the Fly" cafe, which serves a menu of coffee and grab-and-go meals and snacks from the José Andrés Group. You can enjoy Catalan pastries filled with chocolate or vanilla cream, salads, and sandwiches. It's a great option for those on the go.Venture X and Venture X Business cardholders get a 50% discount on purchases at the cafe. They also have unlimited complimentary access to Capital One Landing and can pre-book a reservation in the Capital One app. Venture and Spark Miles cardholders can purchase entry for $45 (compared to $90 for non-cardholders). This makes it accessible to a wider range of travelers. The new Capital One Landing lounge is located in Terminal 2 near Concourse D, and another one is set to open in New York's LaGuardia Airport (LGA) soon. It's a significant addition to the airport dining scene, offering a unique and unforgettable experience for travelers.
