Rance Gillespie, an alumnus of Rabun County and a highly accomplished coach with over two decades of experience, will take the helm. Known for his strategic acumen and leadership skills, Gillespie has made significant contributions to football programs across various schools in Georgia. His most notable achievements include guiding Peach County to two state championships during his tenure there.

Gillespie's coaching journey is marked by a series of successful stints at different institutions. He has held head coaching positions at Hart County, Valdosta, Peach, and Banks County, where he consistently delivered impressive results. Additionally, he served as the offensive coordinator at Georgia Southern on two separate occasions. In 2022, Gillespie transitioned from public schools to coach at Brookstone, a private institution in Columbus. Throughout his career, he has maintained a remarkable record of 170 wins and 91 losses, achieving state titles and leading teams to semifinals or 10-win seasons at nearly every stop.

Rabun County has emerged as a formidable force in Georgia high school football, producing standout athletes like Atlanta Falcons player Charlie Woerner and Georgia quarterback Gunner Stockton.
