A renowned figure in collegiate basketball has officially taken the reins of Central Michigan University's men's basketball program. Former Ferris State head coach Andy Bronkema, a Michigan native and celebrated national champion, was announced as the 22nd head coach in the university's history. With extensive experience spanning nearly two decades, Bronkema brings an impressive track record to the Chippewas, including numerous conference titles and tournament appearances.
Bronkema's journey into coaching began with his tenure as an assistant at Ferris State before rising to the top position. Over the past 12 years, he transformed the Bulldogs into a powerhouse within NCAA Division II basketball.
