Mastering the Trembling Woods Puzzle in Crimson Desert

Navigating the Trembling Woods puzzle in Crimson Desert, with its three turnstile mechanisms and elaborate mural, can initially seem daunting. However, once the core mechanics are grasped, the solution proves remarkably straightforward, offering a rewarding experience for adventurers.

The Mysterious Energy of Trembling Woods is strategically situated just north of the Willow River, conveniently located southeast of the starting region of Hernand. The primary objective is to meticulously align both the intricate mural and the various rings by manipulating three distinct turnstiles. Each turnstile independently controls a specific component of the puzzle: the rightmost mechanism adjusts the background mural, the central mechanism dictates the movement of the large ring, and the leftmost dial manages the two smaller, interconnected rings.

A distinctive challenge arises with the leftmost turnstile, which notably lacks conventional handles. To operate it, players must employ a stab attack, effectively jamming their sword into the mechanism. This action, performed by simultaneously pressing shift and the right mouse button (or RB and triangle/Y on a controller), enables Kliff to exert the necessary force. Precision is key, as the sword must be wedged into the precise location where the handles would typically be, making the maneuver a touch delicate to execute correctly.

The sequence for solving the puzzle is critical for success. First, the right turnstile must be rotated until the background mural displays the correct celestial alignment: a prominent star in the upper right, a small moon positioned almost directly at the bottom, and a medium-sized eclipse icon to the left. Following this, the middle wheel is adjusted to position the large ring precisely over the large star symbol on the mural. Finally, after successfully engaging the leftmost turnstile with a stab attack, it should be rotated until the two smaller rings encircle both the moon and eclipse symbols on the left side of the mural.

Upon the successful alignment of the mural and all the rings, the puzzle will be complete. A small door will then open in the space beneath the player's position, revealing an Abyss Cresset. This is a crucial item, as it is necessary for acquiring an Abyss Artifact. It is paramount not to overlook this prize, as neglecting to retrieve it would render the entire puzzle-solving endeavor fruitless and without its intended reward.
