The Marquette Eagle Racing team has evolved beyond its initial focus on Baja racing competitions, hosted internationally by the Society of Automotive Engineers. In recent years, the organization has opened its doors to welcome students from diverse academic backgrounds and majors, fostering a dynamic and multidisciplinary approach to their endeavors. In addition to the core design, building, and maintenance of their vehicles, the team now includes students specializing in marketing, branding, budgeting, and project management, among other crucial roles.Proving Their Mettle on the Backwoods Baja
Earlier this semester, the Marquette Eagle Racing team put their skills to the test at the Backwoods Baja event hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Competing against 24 other teams, the Marquette students showcased their grit and determination, finishing in a respectable seventh place. The team's talented photographers captured the thrilling action, providing a visual celebration of their achievements.Charting the Road Ahead
Looking ahead, the Marquette Eagle Racing team has set its sights on two major upcoming events. In February, they will compete in the Michigan Tech Winter Baja, where they will face the challenges of navigating through snow and ice. Then, in May, the team will participate in the Baja SAE Arizona, an official collegiate design series event that will test their engineering prowess and problem-solving skills.Connecting with the Community
