The Lima Senior Choral Music Department has a long-standing tradition of bringing sacred music to sacred spaces, and this year was no exception. The Spartan Singers, Spartanaires, and Masterworks choirs filled the halls of St. Rose Catholic Church with their powerful and emotive performances, captivating the audience with works like Ave Maria and a spiritual from African American composer William Dawson, among other hymns and gospels.

As Amy Phillips, the Lima Senior Choir Director, explains, "Sacred music is not something that a lot of them perform regularly, and they also get to sing the music where it was meant to be sung." As senior Davyon Williamson shares, "I absolutely love this space, it is amazing, it's beautiful, and performing here, rather than our high school, gives us an opportunity to branch out other than our own school, our own home."
