In Cissna Park, notable achievements were made by both junior high and high school teams under the guidance of dedicated mentors. Anthony Videka, the coach of the Timberwolves girls' basketball team at both junior high and high school levels, received District 13 honors. His high school squad achieved a commendable third-place finish at the IHSA Class 1A State Finals with an impressive record of 31-5. Meanwhile, Addison Stoller, the seventh-grade girls' coach, steered her team to a successful 21-2 season, culminating in a trip to the Class 7A State Finals. Kankakee County also saw several of its high school coaches acknowledged, including Adrian Provost and Khadaizha Sanders from Bishop McNamara, whose teams excelled in their respective categories.

Barry Bauer of Watseka-Milford was recognized for his work with the girls' team, which triumphed as Class 2A Regional champions. At the collegiate level, Lauren Glenn of Olivet Nazarene University earned recognition within the NAIA after leading her team to a tournament appearance.
