The Kids Championship Power Racing Organization East (KCPRO-East) brings families together during the winter months, offering thrilling ice racing events. The origins of KCPRO-East date back to 1987 when it was established in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. Initially, the club comprised around 18-20 families traveling from different regions. Due to the widespread travel, the group decided to split into East and West divisions in 1991. Since then, KCPRO-East has become a dedicated non-profit organization focused on youth ice racing. The club prides itself on its strong sense of community, where everyone works together to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants. Parents and older children often assist younger racers, fostering an environment of support and collaboration.

The 2025 season schedule includes races at Pelican Lake, Fall Lake, Eagle River, Strand Lake, Myrtle Lake, Pike Lake, Side Lake, and Lake Vermilion. Steve Roduner, Vice President of KCPRO-East, highlights the unique camaraderie within the group.
