Imagine this: Scouts escort your kids through the "shop" set up in the cafeteria, while you wait comfortably in the front reception area. The gifts they choose will be carefully wrapped (or gift bagged) and tagged by adults and scouts, ensuring a delightful surprise for you. It's a unique experience that allows children to express their love and thoughtfulness.
While waiting, you can take a moment to relax with a cup of coffee and enjoy a delicious lunch or snack. Scouts and volunteers will be on hand to serve you, adding to the festive atmosphere. And if you prefer, you can accompany your children and help them pick out gifts together. Admission to the event is free, making it accessible to all.
Troop 92 will be hosting the event on the busy first Saturday of December, which is December 7th from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. They will be setting up shop again in the Parish Hall at St. Ann's Church, located at 20 Boston Road. This popular event gives children the chance to shop for unique and affordable gifts for their parents, siblings, grandparents, teachers, babysitters, and even their pets.
It's a wonderful opportunity for kids to show their appreciation and make the holiday season even more special. With the help of the Scouts and volunteers, everything runs smoothly, creating a memorable experience for both children and parents.
Below are a few pictures I took at last year's event, capturing the joy and excitement on the children's faces. These images truly represent the magic of the "Kids Shop" and the love that goes into choosing those special gifts.
