The Grand Automotive Showcase at Goodwood 2025

Goodwood House's sprawling grounds will once again transform into a vibrant hub of automotive innovation and heritage. This year's festival is poised to highlight significant contributions from various leading manufacturers and celebrate pivotal milestones in motorsport history.

  • Aston Martin: While new global unveilings are not anticipated, Aston Martin will offer the public a thrilling first glimpse of its Valhalla hybrid supercar and the enhanced DBX S performance SUV in action. The roar of the Valkyrie and its Le Mans Hypercar variant, both propelled by V12 engines, will undoubtedly captivate the crowds as they ascend the hill.
  • BMW: BMW will showcase its latest models and forward-looking concepts, including the Vision Driving Experience, a prototype central to their future EV powertrain development, and the newly launched M2 CS. The striking Speedtop concept will also be on display. Furthermore, the festival will honour the 50th anniversary of the legendary 3 Series with historic racing versions tackling the hill, alongside the BMW-powered Brabham BT52 F1 car, joining the 75th-anniversary celebrations of Formula 1.
  • Formula 1's Diamond Jubilee: Marking its 75th anniversary, Formula 1's presence at Goodwood will be more prominent than ever. A vast array of F1 machinery, from pre-championship era vehicles to contemporary marvels, will take on the challenging hill climb. An impressive roster of motorsport legends, including seven world champions—Nigel Mansell, Emerson Fittipaldi, Mario Andretti, Alain Prost, Mika Häkkinen, Jacques Villeneuve, and Sir Jackie Stewart—are confirmed to attend. Current drivers Esteban Ocon and Ollie Bearman, along with multi-race winners Jacky Ickx, Gerhard Berger, and Mark Webber, will also grace the event. Adding to the star power, three of F1's most influential designers—Gordon Murray, Adrian Newey, and Ross Brawn—will be present.
  • Gordon Murray Automotive (GMA): Gordon Murray's profound impact on motorsports and road car design will be celebrated through this year's magnificent Central Feature sculpture, showcasing some truly extraordinary vehicles. While the anticipated unveiling of a high-performance, lightweight T.33 variant has been postponed to streamline product launches, GMA will instead focus on commemorating 60 years of Murray's innovative car designs. Murray himself will be in attendance, with a collection of his road and race creations on display and in dynamic demonstrations.
  • Honda: Honda is preparing a significant presence, bidding farewell to one sporty model while introducing another. The Civic Type R Ultimate Edition and the new Prelude will make their dynamic debuts. Additionally, Honda will unveil a compelling new EV city car concept, the Super EV, promising an engaging driving experience.
  • Hyundai: A major highlight from Hyundai will be the global debut of the highly anticipated Ioniq 6 N, following in the footsteps of the acclaimed Ioniq 5 N. With the Ioniq 5 N having set a new benchmark for enjoyable electric performance, expectations are high for its successor.
  • Lanzante: The McLaren specialist Lanzante, situated near Goodwood, will introduce the 95-59, a limited-edition hypercar. This new creation draws inspiration from the legendary McLaren F1 and its triumph at Le Mans three decades prior, featuring a distinctive three-seater layout and central driving position, akin to the F1 and GMA T.50.
  • MG: Rejuvenated MG continues its strong presence at Goodwood, with plans to unveil what is believed to be the European version of the IM6. This electric crossover, a competitor to the Tesla Model 3, could boast up to 767bhp. A new iteration of the Cyberster EV roadster, the Cyberster Black, is also expected, primarily featuring a new paint scheme.
  • Mini: While Mini does not anticipate any new vehicle debuts, attendees can look forward to an unusual offering: complimentary haircuts at their stand.
  • Toyota: Toyota will showcase a captivating array of racing machinery, including the GR Yaris Rally1 and Rally2 cars, a classic Group A ST185 Celica GT-Four, and its victorious Hilux Dakar racer. The festival will also feature a GR Yaris equipped with the Aero Performance Package, a suite of upgrades previously confined to Japan and mainland Europe, sparking hopes for its wider availability.

The Goodwood Festival of Speed continues to evolve, transforming from a traditional car exhibition into a vibrant, dynamic spectacle that embraces the past, present, and future of automotive innovation. Its unique blend of historic vehicles, cutting-edge technology, and direct engagement with legendary figures creates an unparalleled atmosphere. As a spectator, the sheer diversity of vehicles and the accessibility to both iconic machines and their creators offer an incredibly enriching experience, fostering a deeper appreciation for the artistry and engineering behind the world's most captivating cars. The continuous integration of dynamic displays and world premieres underscores Goodwood's position as a vital event in the global automotive landscape, setting trends and celebrating achievements in equal measure.
