In Augusta, Georgia, the support for the Children’s Hospital of Georgia extends far beyond a single Radiothon. It's a continuous effort that touches the lives of many. The All In For Miller Foundation, established in memory of their 4-year-old son Miller, has been working tirelessly for the past 6 years.
Honoring Miller's Love and Spirit
Miller showed an extraordinary level of love at a young age. His smile had the power to light up the entire world. He was diagnosed with cancer at 17 months old and was cancer-free in 2015 until a tumor returned two years later. Sadly, he gained his angel wings just two weeks after his fourth birthday. His story has inspired the foundation to make a significant difference. 1: The co-founder, Alanda Grover, shared, "Miller's love was unique. His spirit lives on in our work. We strive to continue his legacy by helping families affected by pediatric cancer." 2: The foundation's mission is to provide support in various ways. They have helped families pay house payments, medical bills, and even cover funeral expenses when families couldn't afford it. This shows their commitment to being there for those in need.Supporting Families at the Children's Hospital
The All In For Miller Golf Tournament is a major event that takes place at Champions Retreat. It's not just a game; it's a way to raise money and awareness. Families like Olivia's have received support from the foundation. Olivia Johnson said, "At first, we didn't want to ask for help, but their gifts meant a lot. It was wonderful to see Jackson's smile on Christmas morning." 1: Jackson, who is in remission and rang the bell in April, is a symbol of hope. His story inspires others and shows that with support, there is a chance for recovery. 2: The tournament brings together 160 local and out-of-town players who are committed to supporting these families. Michael Ross, a participant, said, "You can't imagine the hardships these families face. We must do everything we can to support them."Building the Miller House
The foundation is now looking ahead to next year. They are in the process of building the Miller House, a place where families can stay while their child is receiving treatment at the Children's Hospital. Alanda said, "I had no idea where the property would be, but it's on Miller Street in downtown Augusta. It's a sign that God is with us in this journey." 1: The Miller House will provide a much-needed support system for families. It will offer them a place to stay and a sense of comfort during a difficult time. 2: They presented a check for $25,000 at the tournament on Monday, which is a significant step towards their goal. They hope to break ground for the Miller House next year and continue making a difference. If you would like to support this family and their mission, visit their website here.
