The Free-Throw-A-Thon is a unique and engaging fundraising event that allows the community to directly support the Gannon women's basketball team. Each player will attempt 100 free throws, and donations can be made based on the number of successful shots or as one-time contributions in a player's name. Last year, the team's 14 players made an impressive 1,262 out of 1,400 free-throw attempts, showcasing their exceptional shooting prowess.Building Momentum: Gannon's Successful Fundraising History
The Gannon women's basketball team has a proven track record of successful fundraising efforts. In the previous year, the team raised over $39,000 to support their season-opening trip to Billings, Montana, for the Division II CCA Tip-Off Tournament. Last year, Maddy Wheatley (Canberra, Australia/UCSSC Lake Ginninderra) and Ali Benim (Erie, Pa./Harbor Creek) both made an impressive 97 out of 100 free throws.
