Mark Dantonio, the retired head coach from Michigan State and newly inducted member of the College Football Hall of Fame, has accepted a position on the College Football Playoff Selection Committee. This appointment marks the beginning of a three-year term starting this spring. Baylor’s athletic director Mack Rhoades will assume the role of committee chair, succeeding Warde Manuel, who held the position during the previous season. Dantonio’s illustrious career includes a record-breaking tenure at Michigan State, where he became the university's most successful coach with 114 victories over 13 seasons. His coaching experience also extends to Cincinnati and various assistant roles at prominent institutions.
