Florida football fans have been eagerly awaiting the full schedule for 2025, and finally, the wait is over. The Southeastern Conference announced the slate on Wednesday evening, revealing all the matchups for the Gators.

August: Opening the Season
The Gators are set to kick off the regular season on August 30 against Long Island University. This was initially scheduled to be against Florida A&M University, but the Rattlers opted out for unknown reasons. It will be an exciting start to the year as the team looks to build momentum.In the following weeks, Florida will host South Florida on September 6 at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. The Gators have a strong history against the Bulls, winning all three meetings in the series' history. The most recent battles came in consecutive years, in 2021 and 2022.September: SEC Action Begins
After hosting South Florida, UF will travel to Baton Rouge to take on LSU on September 13. This marks UF's SEC opener and their first contest outside of Gainesville. It will be a tough test for the team as they face a strong LSU squad.Following that, Florida will remain on the road and face the Hurricanes on September 20 at Hard Rock Stadium. The Hurricanes secured a 41-17 win over the Gators in the season-opener last year. Though Miami was bound for the College Football Playoff initially, a pair of losses in the final month dashed their hopes. Instead, they will face Iowa State in the 2024 Pop-Tarts Bowl.October: Tough Matchups
There will be no decrease in competition as UF will take on Texas on October 4 following their first bye week of the season. Florida will look to avenge the largest margin of defeat in the Napier era, a 32-point loss to the Longhorns. This will be just the second time the Gators host Texas in history, with the previous matchup occurring in 1940.After taking on the Longhorns, UF will once again face another team from the Lone Star State a week later when they travel to College Station to take on the Aggies on October 11. TAMU secured a 33-20 win over Florida during the first month of the 2024 season.November: Key Rivalries
Florida will host Mississippi State on October 18 ahead of the second and final bye week of the 2024 regular season. This will be an important game as they look to build momentum before the final stretch of the season.On November 1, the Gators will travel to Jacksonville to face Georgia. This will be the final appearance in EverBank Stadium before the upcoming stadium renovations. The series will be played in Atlanta and Tampa in 2026 and 2027, respectively, before returning to Jacksonville in 2028.After facing Georgia, the Gators will have consecutive bye games.
