The Faricy Boys Salida announced that it is inviting car enthusiasts to register, walk or cruise among more than 75 collector, classic, hot rods, performance and exotic automotives, trucks and motorcycles. The show runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Saturday, September 14 and will be held at The Faricy Boys Salida, 931 East U.S. 50, Salida, CO 81201.

The cost is $25 and all proceeds will be donated to Chaffee County Search and Rescue South and North. The event includes a live DJ, local food trucks, awards, and giveaways. Guest parking is available at NAPA Auto Parts or the former Stoke Barbeque, across the street from the dealership.

Cruising on Sunday is OK

Participants and attendees are also invited to join a Cruise up Monarch Pass on Sunday, Sep. 15 and are asked to meet at The Faricy Boys at 9:00 a.m.

With ideal fall weather predicted for the weekend, there should be ample photo opportunities all around the town as well as chatting with proud owners on Saturday.

To register a vehicle for the car show, car owners should email Joan Hapl at jhapl@faricysalida.com.

The Faricy Boys Salida General Manager Brandon Bizzell, a self-described “car nut”, related to Ark Valley Voice stories of his earlier career running auto auctions and how he “always included a car show in each one.”

Car shows are a decades-old tradition in Salida and crowd-pleasers for people of all ages. Pleased with being able to host this new edition Bizzell said “I hope to carry it forward.”

“Central Colorado has an abundance of car enthusiasts who take pride in the hobby whether it’s as a collector or for sport,” said Brizzell. “We are delighted to bring the community together to celebrate the pastime and rally car lovers from throughout the region.”
