EF-Oatly-Cannondale's general manager, Esra Tromp, believes that their 2025 roster is a dream come true. It combines a young group with a lot of enthusiasm and skills, along with experienced riders who can lead the way. The team is a diverse mix of characters and nationalities, each with their own strengths.
For example, Cédrine Kerbaol is ready to attack the season with the same energy that won her a Tour de France stage in 2024. New riders like Alex Volstad, Babette van der Wolf, Henrietta Christie, and Nina Berton are eager to showcase their abilities in the greatest races. None of them is older than 23, bringing a fresh perspective to the team.
In 2024, EF-Oatly-Cannondale got off to a dream start. Noemi Rüegg won the first ever race at the Trofeo Felanitx-Colònia de Sant Jordi, and Magdeleine Vallieres followed suit the very next day. As the team spirit grew, the wins kept coming. Kristen Faulkner and Alison Jackson won stages at the Vuelta, Clara Emond won a mountain stage at the Giro, and Kristen even won two gold medals at the Paris Olympics.
What's more important is how the team came together when faced with tough races like the Tour de France and the spring classics. They quickly found a good rhythm and managed to set up goals for each rider, which led to great success. In total, they had 14 victories in 2024.
Going into 2025, the team's ambitions are even bigger. They have the roster to achieve these goals. Sarah Roy, a former Australian national champion, has joined the team as a road captain to guide the young recruits. She won a stage at the Bretagne Ladies Tour last year and will show her younger teammates the way.
The returning athletes like Megan Armitage, Letizia Borghesi, Kim Cadzow, Clara Emond, Veronica Ewers, Lotta Henttala, Alison Jackson, Kristen Faulkner, Nina Kessler, Mirre Knaven, Noemi Rüegg, and Magdeleine Vallieres are all set to make their mark. Kim, Clara, Mags, Mirre, and Noemi had breakout seasons in 2024, and there's more to come from them.
Olympic champion Kristen Faulkner and Paris-Roubaix winner Alison Jackson will lead the squad at the spring classics and grand tours, aiming to do even better.
Esra Tromp emphasizes the importance of creating a balanced team. They have chosen their program wisely with good development races to help the young riders grow. The team includes different characters who balance strength on and off the bike.
As the riders learn and grow together, the team's strength will only deepen. They are focused on creating an environment where all riders can race at their best and have fun.
Bring on sophomore year! EF-Oatly-Cannondale is ready to shine once again.
