Dropout's 'Um, Actually' Season 11 and Tournament of Champions Announced

The beloved quiz show, "Um, Actually", produced by Dropout, is set to launch its eleventh season this month, bringing back many familiar faces and reintroducing a fan-favorite competition.

This season marks the return of the Tournament of Champions, a highly anticipated event not seen since the show's inaugural season. Noteworthy participants include Brennan Lee Mulligan, Matt Mercer from Critical Role, and Erika Ishii, all vying for the championship title. The season also features other prominent personalities such as Jordan Myrick, Angela Giarratana, Zac Oyama, Jarvis Johnson, Ally Beardsley, and Oscar Montoya. In a unique twist, Emily Axford and Brian Murphy from "Dimension 20" will form a duo for a special tag team episode, competing against two other pairs. Iwy Nwadiwe continues his role as host for the third consecutive season, alongside Brian David Gilbert, who will serve as the fact-checker. This popular show challenges contestants to identify and correct factual errors in statements related to video games, literature, films, and various aspects of pop culture, with points awarded only if the correction begins with the phrase, "um, actually." The new season kicks off on Tuesday, January 20th, with fresh episodes available bi-weekly on Dropout.tv.

The return of the Tournament of Champions, combined with a blend of seasoned and new talent, underscores the show's enduring appeal and commitment to engaging its audience with witty, pop-culture-focused challenges. The program not only entertains but also subtly encourages critical thinking and attention to detail, making it a refreshing take on the traditional quiz show format.
