Unraveling the Mystery of the Skies - New Jersey's Drone Sightings

Delaware County and Philadelphia: The Initial Sightings

In Delaware County and Philadelphia, residents have been reporting possible drone sightings. Morgan Weber, who lives in Media, was one of those who saw a possible drone. "I stood inside and recorded and went outside and I said yeah it’s not an airplane. It’s not a helicopter. Oh, I’ve seen video of drones around. I bet ya it’s one of those drones," Weber said. These sightings have been happening over the last two weeks and have led to many questions.

New Jersey: The Garden State's Mystery

The mystery has now spread to New Jersey. In Evesham Township and other parts of the state, there have been more sightings. One such sighting occurred on Sunday night, adding to the intrigue. As intelligence officers, retired Air Force Major General James Poss is responsible for figuring out what these objects are. "As intelligence officers, we’re responsible for figuring out what the bad guy aircraft are—not the good guy aircraft. If it’s a bad guy aircraft, they need to go back to terrorist school because everybody can see them. They’re flying over populated areas so I don’t think it’s anything nefarious," Poss said.

Theories and Speculations

General Poss has a theory based on the reported size of the flying objects. "I would bet you that this is not a drone. I would bet you this is possibly a long clunky name Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing aircraft, otherwise…flying cars," he speculated. These manned high-tech flying vehicles have surpassed the development stage and, as long as they are not in restricted airspace with a beacon ADS and not over 10,000 feet or over a major airfield flight, visual rules, they don't have to file a flight plan with the FAA.

People's Reactions

On the ground, people are talking about these sightings. Dayna Sacharov mentioned, "I think it’s like they’re trying to see what everyone is doing with the public, almost like a census. It is a weird conspiracy." The recent videos have sparked a lot of discussion and everyone is eager to know the truth.
