The Eastern Kentucky men's tennis team kicked off their 2024-25 season with a strong showing at the Louisville Invitational, facing off against some of the top-ranked teams in the nation. Despite the tough competition, several Colonels players emerged as standouts, showcasing their skills and setting the stage for a promising season ahead.

Parhar and Monclus Martin Lead the Way in Singles Play

Kartik Parhar and Mario Monclus Martin were the standout performers for the Colonels, each recording a 2-1 record in singles play over the three-day tournament. Parhar's impressive singles play was complemented by a doubles victory, as he teamed up with Kristoffer Stahlbrand to secure a win on the doubles courts.The Colonels' depth was on full display, with five other players – Nuno Pinheiro, Fernando Bulnes, Adrian Contreras, Ryan Kitchin, and Pepe Miralles – each recording at least one singles victory. The team's doubles pairings also found success, with Pinheiro and Romeo Elfving Navarro, Miralles and Darko Kolevski, and Kitchin and Contreras all picking up doubles wins.
