Kids’ Activities

On Wednesday, Dec. 4, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., families with children are warmly invited to join in the fun. Kids get to enjoy a variety of activities, allowing them to have a memorable holiday experience. Moreover, they can select gifts for their parents or siblings and have them beautifully wrapped to take home. It's a time of joy and togetherness.

This event not only provides entertainment for the little ones but also gives them the opportunity to show their love and care through gift-giving. It's a heartwarming tradition that brings families closer during the holiday season.

Winter Warmth

Saturday, Dec. 7, marks the first Saturday of the month, and The Caring Closet goes all out. Coats are distributed to kids, teens, and adults, ensuring they stay warm during the cold winter months. Alongside the coats, food and clothing are also provided, addressing multiple needs at once.

This initiative is crucial in providing essential items to those who might otherwise struggle to keep warm. It shows the community's care and solidarity during the winter season.

Great Christmas Giveaway

On Saturday, Dec. 21, the third Saturday of the month, a special Christmas giveaway takes place in memory of Nancy Awishes, one of The Caring Closet's founding volunteers. This event is a celebration of the holiday spirit and a way to give back to the community.

The giveaway offers a chance for people to receive gifts and feel the joy of Christmas. It's a testament to the lasting impact of the Caring Closet and its volunteers.

In addition to these events, The Caring Closet serves a free hot lunch on the days it's open. There is no income requirement to shop here, making it accessible to all in need. Donations are always welcome, and every contribution makes a difference.

As stated on their Facebook page, "We are in need of new or gently used coats, toys, clothing, and food donations. Your donations are given to those in need. Can you help? Drop off donations 24/7 by the pole barn. May God richly bless you."
