Police Chief Steve Rogers emphasized the importance of securing personal belongings and locking vehicles to deter potential thieves. He also advised installing security cameras as an additional preventive measure.

Chief Rogers noted that one of the primary reasons for the surge in burglaries is the visibility of valuable items left inside vehicles. "We’re seeing a pattern where people leave their valuables in plain sight," he remarked. This practice inadvertently invites opportunistic criminals. "It might be inconvenient to remove all your belongings from your car, but it’s crucial to make it difficult for thieves," he explained.
