As Susan Wood from the food pantry emphasizes, "We discovered there is a substantial need, and often our veterans are hesitant to ask for help. That's why Jay and I initiated the pantry. Our goal is to ensure that our veterans are well taken care of, and this food giveaway is one of our outreach efforts to spread the word and offer support."Last year, the post successfully held this event for the first time and distributed approximately 1,300 pounds of food. It was a remarkable success that demonstrated the community's dedication to helping our veterans.
