San Antonio witnessed a heartwarming scene as children in Child Protective Custody in Bexar County were showered with over 1,500 gifts during a festive Christmas celebration last Saturday. This event, organized by Summit Church, was a true celebration of the holiday spirit. With activities like pictures with Santa, carousel rides, games, face painting, a balloon artist, and cookie decorating, every child had a chance to enjoy the magic of Christmas. Pastor Rick Godwin of Summit Church shared, "It has been our great joy at Summit Church to provide gifts to every child in Bexar County Child Protective Services since 2008. These kids deserve a Merry Christmas. Our hope is that they know they matter, and that God loves them." Not only did the children receive gifts, but they were also able to make a 'wish list' and receive a meaningful present that would bring a smile to their faces.
