Soccer Stars: Goals and Glory

In the world of soccer, this week saw some thrilling matches that showcased the talent of young players. Several students scored crucial goals, leading their teams to significant victories. Among them, Zachary Beyer from Oakland Tech, Ricardo Feliciano from Dougherty Valley, Gabriel Gil from Menlo, Gregory Gutierrez from Bellarmine, and Juan Quiroz from Gilroy demonstrated exceptional skills on the field. Their contributions not only secured wins but also set the stage for future successes.

Zachary Beyer's goal helped Oakland Tech secure a 2-0 victory over Oakland, while Ricardo Feliciano's two-goal performance propelled Dougherty Valley to a 5-2 win against Granada. Gabriel Gil’s winning goal with just 10 seconds left gave Menlo a narrow 1-0 win over Sacred Heart Prep. Benjamin Lukacs topped the charts with a game-high 26 points, leading Cornerstone to a 66-64 win over Heritage. Lastly, Anthony Martin’s 25 points and six steals were pivotal in Los Gatos’ 76-58 victory over Gunn.
