With the dazzling lights of downtown Tucson's skyline and the glistening trees, the city is truly in the midst of the holiday season. There are still some of the most enchanting Christmas-themed events yet to come.
Honoring the Grand Marshal
The Downtown Parade of Lights is proud to present Chef Carlotta Flores as the 2024 Grand Marshal. Her family's love and contribution to the Tucson community have been deeply appreciated. The community joins in celebrating her efforts by attending the parade to honor her dedication to the city. "The matriarch of Tucson's Mexican food scene, Carlotta Flores, ACF, is the third generation overseeing El Charro Café, the country's oldest Mexican restaurant in continuous operation by the same family since 1922," the parade organizers shared. "Chef Carlotta Flores of Tucson, AZ was one of 2021 Forbes Magazine's 50 Women over 50 and the only woman amongst the 10,000 nominees to be given the award from the hospitality or food industries."Parade Details
