In 2021, the Chronomaster Sport chronograph from Zenith made its debut, sparking considerable discussion. Despite its aesthetic similarities to the Rolex Daytona, or perhaps because of this, it quickly achieved significant commercial success for the Le Locle-based brand. Over time, Zenith broadened the collection with new iterations, incorporating diverse dial colors, fixed steel bezels, and innovative materials like ceramic and titanium, thereby allowing the Chronomaster Sport to forge its distinct character. Five years on, Zenith introduces the Chronomaster Solo Sport, presenting a series of four athletic three-hand models that represent a natural progression for this distinguished collection.
These new Chronomaster Solo Sport timepieces, comprising three time-and-date variations and one time-only model, share the 40mm stainless steel case size of their Chronomaster Sport predecessors. Each model is equipped with a ceramic unidirectional bezel featuring a 60-minute luminous scale. The watches boast a screw-down crown with protective guards, ensuring a water resistance of 200 meters. The time-and-date versions come with white, black, or brown ceramic dials, each paired with a matching ceramic bezel. The time-only model features a black dial and bezel. To distinguish between the two black-dial variants, the date-equipped model incorporates red '36’600 VpH' text, while the time-only version uses white text. All four dials are crafted from ceramic and display a high-frequency 'Z' motif pattern, complemented by Super-LumiNova-filled hour markers and a shark-tooth minute track, drawing inspiration from historical Zenith designs.
The white-dial variant offers a sunray finish, contrasting with the polished finish of the black and brown dials.
