Starting from pole position in all three races at Yas Marina, Pulling demonstrated exceptional skill at the race start. She got off the line superbly and maintained first place throughout. Fellow front-row starter Chloe Chambers also had a strong start but was quickly overtaken by the lightning-fast Doriane Pin. The Mercedes driver smoothly moved into second place.
Turn 1 Collision and Its Aftermath
As the pair made their way into Turn 1, a collision occurred, sending both drivers spinning off and down the order. As a result, Hamda Al Qubaisi was elevated two places into second. Ferrari's Maya Weug, who started in sixth, managed to move up to third in just a few corners. By the second lap, Weug was right on the tail of Al Qubaisi and made a bold move to go ahead at Turn 6. From that point on, she set her sights on Pulling and got a chance to take the lead on Lap 5.Weug once again attempted a move down the inside at Turn 6, but this time Pulling had to back off and found herself on the runoff. The Alpine-backed driver knew she had to give the position back to Weug to avoid a penalty for gaining an unfair advantage.After securing the lead on Lap 6, Weug pulled away into the distance. Pulling, meanwhile, was focused on fending off a determined Al Qubaisi for second place.Behind them, Lia Block was making a charge. Starting in eighth, she had to serve a five-second penalty for leaving the track and gaining an advantage. However, the Williams junior was quick to make moves on McLaren's Bianca Bustamante for fifth and then progressed to fourth after a mistake from MartÃ.Each driver's story in this intense race was unique.
