In the quiet neighborhood of Spring, Texas, the Holverson family has found themselves at the center of a baffling incident. Mandy Holverson expressed her contentment with their home, stating, "It’s quiet and nice and we like it here." However, early Wednesday morning at around 2:30 a.m., this peace was abruptly disrupted by a stern knock on the door.

Unexpected Visitor and the Stolen Vehicle

Cliff Holverson recounted the terrifying moment, saying, "That’s scared us awake dog barking trying to keep the baby asleep and yeah, there’s a constable at the door asking me ‘do I own this 2014 Hyundai sudan’ and I’m like ‘yeah I do.'” The constable then inquired, "Do you know where it is?" and they replied, "The driveway." But to their shock, the vehicle was nowhere to be found. Instead, only some shards of glass remained in its place. Cliff further explained, "He had smashed the window and stolen it, and joy rode the thing for about an hour and 15 minutes."What the thief didn't know was that the Holversons had a dash cam installed in their car. As soon as the car was turned on, the dash cam started recording. Cliff showed us the footage, saying, "It shows him driving around this neighborhood you know going crazy speeding up and down roads. No lights on, on 29, 20. Driving with no lights on." The video also revealed that the thief hit a parked car in the area, then a basketball hoop and a fire hydrant several times before driving through a park.But the most astonishing part came near the end of the video. Cliff said, "He gets out of the car and looks at the front of it to kind of survey his damage and you can see him there wearing his facemask and a Santa Claus hat." Yes, a Santa hat. Due to the ongoing investigation, the face of this "little helper" has been blurred as he is only considered a person of interest. Mandy humorously remarked, "I was like ‘really you’re Santa? More like the Grinch."The Holversons decided to come forward with their story in the hope of urging everyone to invest in a dash cam to safeguard their vehicles and families. Thankfully, their car only sustained minor damage and will be returning home soon. This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of such devices in protecting our valuable possessions and those we hold dear.
