Vaqueros Showcase Offensive Firepower in Dominant Win

Raimey's Career Night Fuels Vaqueros' Offensive Onslaught

Fifth-year senior K.T. Raimey led the Vaqueros (1-2) with a career-high 23 points, including a blistering 7 three-pointers, shooting an impressive 53% from the perimeter. Raimey's offensive outburst was a key factor in the Vaqueros' ability to pull away from the Tigers early on.

Fleming Flirts with Triple-Double as Vaqueros Distribute the Ball

Redshirt junior Howie Fleming Jr. nearly recorded a triple-double, finishing with 10 points, a career-high 14 rebounds, and 9 assists. Fleming's all-around performance and the Vaqueros' ability to share the ball effectively allowed them to maintain control of the game throughout.

Balanced Scoring Attack Overwhelms the Tigers

In addition to Raimey's standout performance, the Vaqueros received significant contributions from several other players. Senior Cliff Davis scored 14 points, freshman RJ Nance had a career-high 12 points, sophomore Kwo Agwa also finished with 12 points, and junior Trey Miller added 11 points and 3 steals. The Vaqueros' depth and balanced scoring attack proved too much for the Tigers to handle.

Vaqueros Dominate from Beyond the Arc

The Vaqueros' offensive onslaught was fueled by their prowess from the three-point line, as they connected on 17 three-pointers, tying for the second-most in program history. This perimeter shooting barrage allowed the Vaqueros to pull away and maintain a comfortable lead throughout the game.

Tigers Struggle to Keep Pace with Vaqueros' Relentless Offense

The Tigers (0-2) were led by KJ Younge, who scored 25 points, and Adrian Brown, who added 11 points. However, the Tigers were unable to match the Vaqueros' offensive firepower and found themselves overwhelmed by the home team's scoring onslaught.

Vaqueros Surge Ahead with Dominant Runs

The Vaqueros took control of the game with a 16-3 run in the first half, sparked by a three-pointer from Davis and fueled by two Raimey three-pointers. In the second half, the Vaqueros went on a 20-0 run, with Raimey hitting four consecutive three-pointers, further extending their lead and putting the game out of reach for the Tigers.

Vaqueros Look to Build Momentum on the Road

The Vaqueros will look to build on this dominant performance as they hit the road again, taking on Charleston Southern in the Greenbriar Tip-Off on Friday at 12 p.m. The team will aim to carry the momentum from this blowout victory into their upcoming matchup and continue their quest for a successful season.
