Julian Ashby, known for his Academic All-America accolades, excelled academically while pursuing a master’s degree in engineering. In his sole year at Vanderbilt, this former Furman player not only maintained a commendable 3.9 GPA but also participated in all 13 games as the long snapper. Originating from Lilburn, Georgia, Ashby concluded his physics studies at Furman with an impressive 3.96 GPA before embarking on his graduate journey at Vanderbilt. His dedication extended beyond academics, as he was also recognized for community service within the Southeastern Conference (SEC).

Aeneas DiCosmo exemplifies another remarkable story of achievement. Having previously studied film at Stanford, where he earned a 3.63 GPA, DiCosmo transitioned to Vanderbilt, contributing significantly over two years with 84 total tackles. His prowess on the field complements his scholarly pursuits, earning him a second inclusion in the Hampshire Honor Society. Similarly, Loic Fouonji, who transferred from Texas Tech, showcased his skills in receiving while maintaining a robust academic record in information technology.

Jesse Mirco’s contribution as the Commodores’ punter was pivotal, culminating in a second-team All-SEC selection.
