The treasure is located in Anotto Bay, a secluded inlet north of Kingston. Be prepared for naval encounters if you haven't previously visited this area; however, if you are a seasoned traveler to Anotto Bay, you can employ fast travel to bypass immediate conflict. Upon arrival, proceed to the wooden staircase and diving bell situated on the bay's left side, then descend into the depths. Your path lies through a tunnel, easily identifiable by colorful marine life and an old minecart.
As you navigate the subterranean passages, be vigilant for a shark attack around the initial bend. When the tunnel branches, steer right and ascend, following the ladder to draw closer to your objective. An optional detour to the left, through a tunnel adorned with sea urchins, will lead you to a conventional treasure chest, though another shark encounter awaits. Keep an eye out for air currents, which signal nearby air pockets, essential for replenishing your oxygen supply. Upon reaching a current near two large jellyfish and a ladder, climb out to enter a dry cavern. An additional treasure chest can be found by venturing further along the underwater path before exiting. Within the dry chamber, eliminate any adversaries. Strategically use explosives, specifically a small red barrel, placed against the stone wall to the east, detonating it from a safe distance with your pistol to clear the obstruction. Continue your journey through the newly opened passage into a grander cave. Dispatch the remaining pirates, utilizing the large red barrels for explosive advantage. Locate another small red barrel and position it against the northeast wall, behind the cascading waterfall, to breach a final barrier. With the path now clear, the illustrious Blackbeard's treasure chest awaits. After a brief interlude, return to Great Inagua and open the chest at the docks to conclude the mission, revealing not gold, but a far more unique reward: Blackbeard's portrait.
