Beyond acquiring superior equipment, a core aspect of strengthening your character in Grounded 2 revolves around accumulating Milk Molars and Mega Milk Molars. These unique collectibles function as a system for allocating skill or attribute points, allowing for precise improvements to your character's capabilities. While numerous Milk Molar deposits are scattered across the game's diverse landscapes, their discovery often demands keen observation and perseverance. These sugary dental finds are indispensable for enduring encounters with the game's formidable creatures.
Milk Molars exclusively boost individual player statistics, predominantly offering survival-oriented enhancements such as increasing maximum health and stamina, or prolonging the depletion rate of hunger and thirst gauges. Conversely, Mega Milk Molars confer advantages to the entire group, primarily focusing on optimizing inventory management for collective benefit.
For players navigating the game as a lone survivor, Mega Milk Molars remain beneficial, though their shared buffs will, naturally, only apply to your solo endeavors. It is important to note that Mega Milk Molars necessitate the Omni-Hammer II upgrade for extraction, making them inaccessible in the game's initial stages. When considering how to invest your early Milk Molars, it is advisable to prioritize boosts to health and stamina, as these directly contribute to your resilience in combat. Subsequently, you can allocate points to less critical areas like healing efficacy or the rate of hunger/thirst decay. Since Mega Milk Molars are exclusively tied to inventory improvements, your allocation strategy should align with your personal resource management style, with increased resource stack limits offering the most significant impact on storage capacity.
Your inaugural encounter with a Milk Molar will likely occur during "The Art of War" main quest, early in your adventure. This mission leads you into a scorpion-infested cavern situated beneath the wooden table adjacent to the Snackbar. The objective is to retrieve a stolen Turbo Optical Disk. The Milk Molar is prominently located on the left side of this compact cave, amidst a collection of technological debris, making it almost impossible to overlook.
The second Milk Molar awaits at the deepest part of the Toxic Anthill cave, which lies beneath the Picnic Table in the northern section of the starting area. Despite the intimidating presence of ants and cockroaches, this Molar is relatively easy to locate. Simply descend into the cave until the terrain transitions from dirt to stone, marked by a scattering of bones. The Molar will be found near deposits of sturdy quartzite and marble.
A third Milk Molar is cunningly concealed within a compact earthen cave, just west of the Picnic Table. The entrance to this hidden spot is situated close to an aged hot dog.
Acquiring the fourth Milk Molar presents a more significant challenge, as it is secured within a locked briefcase atop the Picnic Table. Accessing this requires deciphering a specific code, the clues for which are scattered across the table's surface. Once unlocked, the Molar resides within an old mint container, accessible by crouching inside.
Adjacent to the briefcase, as you ascend the Picnic Table, you'll discover the Picnic Fridge Cooler. Venture inside this cooler, then immediately turn left and enter a discarded bottle to claim the fifth Milk Molar. Despite the chilling environment, the brief exposure allows for swift retrieval without harm. In fact, traversing this cooler is a necessary step to reach the table's summit for the "Signals and Stashes" mission, which involves locating O.R.C. transmitters.
A second Mega Milk Molar is located within a cave near the Ranger Outpost: Trash Bags, at the border between the Snackbar Front and the Picnic Table regions. The cave's entrance is obstructed by fissured rocks, identifiable by a petrified spider cocooned nearby. To breach this barrier, explosive devices such as the Bratburst bomb are required. Crafting a Bratburst bomb requires one red ant egg, two spicy shards, four mite fangs, and three dry grass chunks.
The sixth Milk Molar can be found perched on a mushroom growing from the large tree at the heart of the Entrance area. To reach it, navigate to the northwest side of the tree and ascend a series of small, strategically placed mushrooms, forming a clear climbing path.
Near the previously mentioned Milk Molar, the seventh sweet tooth is nestled within a disposable cup on the northern side of the Garbage Can in the Entrance region, surrounded by discarded food and soiled plates.
A third Mega Milk Molar is located beneath the KLBB II News Camera landmark in the northeastern section of the Entrance, where it meets the Snackbar Front and Ice Cream Cart areas. It rests on a ledge within a trench below the camera, necessitating the use of a ladder or a launch pad to reach its position.
Two Milk Molars, the eighth and ninth, are found in close proximity within a spider-infested zone directly north of the Ranger Outpost: Pine in Pine Hill, located northeast of the Picnic Table. These can be collected at any point, but their discovery is integrated into the "Signals and Stashes" quest, where you will face a wave of O.R.C. insects guarding the Molar stash.
The tenth Milk Molar is situated within a frigid cave, distinguishable by its icy grass surroundings, a short distance north of the Ranger Outpost: Ice Cream Cart, within the Ice Cream Truck region. Surviving the cold requires bandages if chill-resistant gear is unavailable. It is advisable to bring a ranged weapon to safely eliminate the larvae inside from a distance.
The eleventh Milk Molar is nestled in the red hand of a toy figurine amidst the Melted Army Men fire, positioned at the center of the Fire Pit region. To access it, pass through the opening on the eastern side, then carefully traverse the wooden beams to reach the figure's hand.
Given the fiery nature of this area, exposure will rapidly deplete your health. Swift action is crucial to retrieve the Molar and escape without succumbing to the heat. Alternatively, equip sizzling-resistant armor or consume heat-resistant smoothies to mitigate the environmental damage.
The twelfth Milk Molar is found within a red ball embedded in the ground on the north side of the Statue gardens. This location is near the exit of the brick maze, assuming you chose the left path upon your initial entry into the Statue region. This is a challenging area typically encountered during the "Networking" mission.
Following the path from the previous Milk Molar in the southern part of the Statue Flower Beds, enter the cave to emerge on the opposite side of the stone wall that divides the flower beds. Immediately turn left and ascend the branch leading to a disposable cup. From there, leap onto the stone brick, where you will discover the thirteenth Molar at the base of a lamp.
To obtain the fourth Mega Milk Molar, descend the pipe ladder located directly south of the Ranger Outpost: Flower Bed, directly facing the statue. You will enter an Ominent facility, where a pneumatic tube lift will transport you to a lower level.
Once downstairs, proceed down the steps and open the shortcut leading back to the pipes you previously navigated to reach the Statue gardens. At the SCAB.2K terminal, turn around to reveal a hidden cave accessible through a breach in the wall. Within this cave, you will find the Mega Milk Molar nestled in the dirt, alongside some sturdy quartzite.
