In a strategic move to bolster its presence in Western Europe, Turpaz Industries has acquired the Belgian sweet flavours manufacturer Doucy for $8.5 million. The acquisition includes Doucy's production facility in Fernelmont, Belgium, along with its development and application laboratories. Founded in 1968, Doucy specializes in developing and producing sweet flavours for food and beverages, as well as colours and additives for animal feed. Reporting sales of $5 million in 2024, this deal is expected to significantly enhance Turpaz’s sweet-flavours portfolio and strengthen its position in the global flavours market.

The integration of Doucy into Turpaz's operations marks a significant milestone in the company's growth strategy. Doucy brings over five decades of expertise in the sweet flavours sector, which will complement Turpaz's existing capabilities in savory products within Belgium. This synergy is anticipated to provide customers with a broader range of high-quality solutions and an expanded product portfolio. Karen Cohen Khazon, CEO of Turpaz, emphasized that this acquisition solidifies Turpaz's position in the global flavours sector and ensures business continuity through the integration of Doucy's management team.

Guy Peremans, CEO of Doucy, expressed enthusiasm about joining the Turpaz group. He highlighted the unique opportunity this presents for Doucy to expand its operations, enhance technological capabilities, diversify its product offerings, and strengthen its presence in the Benelux region. The financial backing for this acquisition came from bank funding, and it is projected to have an immediate positive impact on Turpaz's financial performance.

This acquisition represents a crucial step forward for Turpaz, enabling the company to leverage Doucy's established reputation and expertise. By combining forces, Turpaz aims to offer more comprehensive and innovative solutions to its customers, driving growth and innovation in the flavours industry. The collaboration between these two entities promises to create new opportunities and foster further expansion in the competitive global market.
