This represents a substantial jump from the previous year's purses, which stood at $70,000 for maiden special weights and $72,000 to $80,000 for allowance races. The Turfway Park Synthetic Championships: A New Showcase for Winter Racing

The highlight of the Holiday Meet will be the introduction of the Turfway Park Synthetic Championships, a series of four $250,000 stakes races scheduled for Saturday, December 14th.
