A fatal incident unfolded on the streets of Avondale, Jacksonville, on Sunday evening, resulting in the loss of a local man's life. Around 6:30 PM, emergency services were called to the scene where a motorcycle rider was involved in a collision. The middle-aged motorcyclist was reportedly traveling at high speed northbound on U.S. 17 when tragedy struck.

The accident occurred as another vehicle attempted to make a left turn from the opposite direction onto Rensselaer Avenue. The sedan and motorcycle collided, leading to a severe crash that caused the sedan to flip over. Emergency responders rushed the injured motorcyclist to the hospital, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries. Meanwhile, the driver of the sedan only sustained minor injuries.
