A devastating multi-vehicle accident occurred Thursday evening in Lansing, leaving thirteen individuals injured and two critically wounded. According to a report from Channel 6 News WLNS, the incident unfolded around 8:30 p.m. on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard when two cars racing at excessive speeds lost control. Surveillance footage captured the perilous race as one vehicle attempted to make a lawful turn onto the boulevard from Pierce Road, only to be struck by the speeding automobiles.

The collision triggered a chain reaction involving five vehicles in total. Among the victims, two occupants were forcefully ejected from their car and are now battling for their lives in critical condition. Authorities have refrained from disclosing the identities of those involved while investigations continue. In response to the calamity, local roads were temporarily shut down until early Friday morning, April 25, to facilitate cleanup and evidence collection.
