According to the CHP's Stockton division, the incident occurred at around 5:15 a.m. on Highway 4 near Whiskey Slough Road. A 27-year-old man was driving a 2008 gray Honda Fit westbound when he inexplicably lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road and into the body of water.
