Trackhouse Racing, the NASCAR powerhouse, is setting its sights on expanding its reach beyond the stock car circuit. Pursuing the Rolex 24 at Daytona
Trackhouse Racing's ambitions extend beyond the confines of the NASCAR Cup Series. Marks expressed a strong desire to field a Trackhouse car in the iconic Rolex 24 at Daytona, one of the most challenging endurance races in the world. With the team's growing roster of talented drivers, Marks believes they now have the necessary resources to make this a reality. "I would love to put a Trackhouse car in the Rolex 24," he stated. "I think now that we've got sort of a group of athletes to be able to fill out a car, I think that's a very real possibility."The Rolex 24 at Daytona is a true test of endurance, skill, and teamwork, attracting the best drivers and teams from various disciplines of motorsports. Trackhouse Racing's foray into this prestigious event would not only showcase the team's versatility but also provide an opportunity to showcase their brand on a global stage.Eyeing the Indianapolis 500
Alongside their aspirations for the Rolex 24, Trackhouse Racing has also set its sights on the legendary Indianapolis 500. Marks acknowledged that the Indy 500 is a race that he believes is crucial for the Trackhouse brand to be a part of. "It's not been a secret that the Indianapolis 500 is a race that I think is important for the Trackhouse brand to be at," he revealed. However, Marks emphasized that the team is taking a strategic approach to their potential IndyCar venture. Rather than starting an entirely new IndyCar team from scratch, Trackhouse Racing is actively seeking the right partner to facilitate their participation in the Indy 500. "We're working on that right now," Marks said. "We have a very unique promotional marketing program built out for doing something like that. We just have to find the right partner. I'm not going to buy a car and start an IndyCar team. So it's got to be the right partner."The Indianapolis 500, often referred to as the "Greatest Spectacle in Racing," is one of the most prestigious and iconic events in motorsports. Trackhouse Racing's involvement in this legendary race would not only elevate the team's profile but also provide an opportunity to showcase their brand and capabilities to a wider audience.Expanding Beyond NASCAR: A Strategic Approach
Marks emphasized that Trackhouse Racing's expansion plans are not just about diversifying their racing portfolio. The team is taking a strategic and thoughtful approach to these new ventures, ensuring that they align with the Trackhouse brand and its unique identity. "Those are the types of things that will move the needle for Trackhouse," Marks explained. "We're not going to do things just to do it. That's how I think about growing the business, and it was just exploring things that continue to be uniquely Trackhouse."This strategic mindset is a testament to Trackhouse Racing's commitment to maintaining its distinct identity and brand as it ventures into new racing disciplines. The team is not simply chasing opportunities for the sake of expansion, but rather carefully considering how these new endeavors can enhance and complement the Trackhouse brand.Strengthening the NASCAR Foundation
While Trackhouse Racing's ambitions extend beyond the NASCAR Cup Series, the team's current successes in the stock car racing world serve as a strong foundation for these expansion plans. In the 2024 season, driver Daniel Suárez progressed to the second round of the playoffs, showcasing the team's competitiveness and potential.Furthermore, Trackhouse Racing has made a significant addition to its driver lineup with the recruitment of Shane van Gisbergen as a full-time Cup Series driver for the 2025 season. Marks expressed his excitement about this new partnership, stating, "This is obviously a huge moment. Really, really thrilled and excited that Shane put the trust in us and made a huge commitment in leaving a very successful career in Australia and New Zealand and moved to a new country and sort of (started) over and put his faith and his trust in us."The addition of van Gisbergen, a highly talented driver with an impressive international racing pedigree, further strengthens Trackhouse Racing's roster and positions the team for continued success in the NASCAR Cup Series. This foundation of success and talent provides a solid platform for the team's ambitious expansion plans.
