The Vivo X200 showcases a polished outer ring that sits slightly proud of the phone's rear panel, resembling a watch dial. The subtle clou de Paris embossed pattern around the edge continues this theme. What truly makes the camera module a beauty is how the polished rim curves inward, encapsulating the glass camera module. Running your finger over its surface and edge gives a unique tactile experience. The light catches the curved edge in a special way. This isn't a random occurrence; it's the result of careful design. Vivo has crafted something beautiful without resorting to odd shapes or mismatched lines like some other brands. Many brands mention "luxury timepieces" in their marketing, but Vivo is one of the few that has brought a similar touch of class to its camera without explicitly referring to watches.
The 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a "quad curve" design is another winner. It curves down at each side and corner, seamlessly blending with the frame and rear panel. This not only makes the phone comfortable to hold but also enhances the overall classy design. It's not a new concept; Huawei has used a similar style in the past, but it suits relatively compact phones like the X200 perfectly.
The Vivo X200 is the entry model in Vivo's new range but is far from basic. It features the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor with either 12GB or 16GB of RAM and a 5,800mAh battery with 90-watt charging, solidifying its high-end credentials. Weighing 202 grams in a lovely green color, it is IP68 and IP69 dust- and water-resistant.
The Vivo X200 Pro doesn't share the same exquisite design as the X200's camera module, but it still has its own charm. Its camera module is larger than the X200's, with the outer rim featuring the clou du Paris embossing. The upper section is made of titanium with a subtle brushed effect, and the large black glass module sits proud of the titanium outer section. While it still looks good, it lacks the uniqueness of the X200's module. The screen also has the quad curve shape but is slightly larger at 6.78 inches.
The camera specifications are different, with the 50MP Sony LYT-818 main sensor having Zeiss optics and joined by a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP9 telephoto camera. It shares the same 50MP wide-angle camera and 32MP selfie camera as the X200. The Vivo X200 Pro uses Vivo's V3+ Imaging Chip to enhance lowlight and portrait shots while increasing efficiency. The telephoto camera offers a 135mm equivalent zoom and an 85mm HD Portrait mode.
The MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor remains, this time with 16GB of RAM. The battery capacity has been increased to 6,000mAh and adds 30W wireless charging to the 90W wired charging. Both phones use Vivo's Funtouch OS interface over Android 15 and come with a range of AI features like Circle to Search and access to Google Gemini.
When Vivo announced the X200 series in China earlier this year, a third model, the Vivo X200 Pro Mini, was added. Unfortunately, it won't be released internationally. It shares the same Dimensity 9400 processor and a triple-50MP camera system. The major spec difference is the 6.31-inch screen, making it a mini-sized phone without sacrificing performance.
At the time of writing, Vivo has not confirmed which regions will get the Vivo X200 and Vivo X200 Pro or the approximate prices. Based on the prices in China, expect the X200 to be around $620 and the X200 Pro to be around $800, and they are likely to be available in India, Asia, and parts of Europe.
