The construction work at ThedaCare's new health campus in Fond du Lac is making significant strides. In February 2024, the organization broke ground, setting the stage for a state-of-the-art facility that aims to enhance healthcare access for residents in northeast and central Wisconsin.

Progress at the Health Campus
Construction at the 755 W. Johnson St. campus is progressing steadily. The estimated $35M investment is transforming the area into a comprehensive healthcare hub. With approximately 25,000 sq. ft., it will offer a wide range of services. Emergency care is a key focus, along with inpatient beds and 24/7 coverage by board-certified emergency medicine physicians. For those requiring additional tests and care, 24/7 Computed Tomography (CT) scans, x-ray, and ultrasound with outpatient access are available. The campus will be open 24/7, 365 days a year, ensuring continuous care for the community.Since the groundbreaking, crews have been meticulously working through design and construction plans. They have completed flooring, ceiling grid, and ceramic tile installation, along with interior painting and wallcoverings. Local artwork is being secured and installed, adding a touch of culture to the environment. Furniture design and selection are finalized and will be delivered soon. Medical equipment installation will commence after the new year.On the exterior, final site grading, curb and site concrete work is in progress. Asphalt preparation and installation are also underway, along with exterior door installations. The campus is continuously evolving to meet the community's needs, and more services may be added over time.Construction Partners and Their Roles

HGA is the architect and engineer, bringing their expertise to design a functional and aesthetically pleasing facility. The Sigma Group is the civil engineer and landscape architect, enhancing the campus's surroundings.
