Super Mario Run Unveils Wonder-Themed Event with Collectible Statues

In a thrilling announcement for fans of the iconic plumber, Nintendo has rolled out a fresh in-game event for Super Mario Run. This initiative celebrates the imminent launch of the "Meetup in Bellabel Park" DLC, alongside the Super Mario Bros. Wonder - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. From now until April 3, 2026, players have the opportunity to acquire distinctive in-game statues. These charming collectibles, inspired by the new DLC, can be used to personalize and adorn their digital kingdoms.

To obtain these sought-after statues, participants must engage in various activities within Toad Rally. Successfully performing actions like flattening enemies or executing vaults will contribute to filling a special meter. Once this meter is full, a magical Wonder Flower will appear, transforming all on-screen coins into glimmering Gold Goombas. Players can easily defeat these Golden Goombas by simply touching them. For every 30 Gold Goombas vanquished, a stamp is added to their collection card. There are a total of four stamp cards available, with each card requiring 20 stamps to complete. Each completed card rewards players with a unique character statue from the Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park game, including the likes of Flower Mario, Captain Toad & Plucky, Luigi & Toadette, and the infamous Koopalings. Enthusiasts are encouraged to defeat as many Gold Goombas as possible to complete their stamp cards before the event concludes. It's worth noting that Wonder Flowers also make an appearance in Friendly Runs.

This celebratory event precedes the official release of the Super Mario Bros. Wonder - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and its DLC, which is slated for March 26, 2026. Nintendo Life has also provided a preview of the upcoming paid DLC for Super Mario Bros. Wonder, offering fans a glimpse into what awaits them.

This event in Super Mario Run presents a delightful way for fans to immerse themselves in the Super Mario Bros. Wonder universe even before its full launch. It serves as a reminder of Nintendo's commitment to continually engage its mobile gaming community while building anticipation for its major console releases. The unique collectible statues offer both a tangible reward for gameplay and a charming connection to the broader Mario narrative, enriching the player's experience in the run-up to a major title release.
