At Loch Sheldrake, the Grahamsville Reformed Church and the Regional Synod of New York have once again shown their kindness and support. For the second consecutive year, they have donated $1,500 to the SUNY Sullivan Food Pantry, which plays a crucial role in providing Thanksgiving baskets for SUNY Sullivan students.Helping Students in Need
Pastor Ken Ronk, who has been a part of SUNY Sullivan's commencement ceremony for the past two years, along with his wife Julie, are dedicated supporters of education. As Jaime Brooks, the Coordinator of Student Activities, mentioned, "Pastor Ronk knows how vital the SUNY Sullivan Food Pantry is to me. It serves as a lifeline for many of our adult students who have families and are returning to college. Their monthly donations help keep our students fed."
The Significance of the Food Pantry
The SUNY Sullivan Food Pantry was established during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic and continues to serve students and their families on campus. It provides a much-needed support system, ensuring that students have access to food when they need it the most.
